1. Logging On:

With your browser, connect to http://webmail.p2pa.com

If a site certificate pops up, verify that it is from Point To Point Access and accept (or install) it.

At the login page, enter your username and password. This is the same username you use with your email client to check mail: it may be different from your email address. For example, your email address may be FredS@mycompany.com, and your username mycomp03.

2. Setting User Options:

• Click on the "Options" link at the top of the page.
  (At any point in the following you may click on "Help" at the top of the page for explanations of the settings.)
  
  
• Click on the "Personal Information" link, which will bring you to this page:

• Enter your name as you would like it to appear on your outgoing emails in the "Full Name" field.
  
  
• In the "Email Address" field, enter your actual email address (in the example from above, "FredS@mycompany.com").
  
  
• You may leave the "Reply To" field blank, unless you want replies to your outgoing emails to go to another address rather than the one you entered in "Email Address".
  
  
• In the "Signature" field, enter any text you want appended to the end of each outgoing message. Use of a signature is optional.
  
  
• For "Timezone", select "Same As Server" (which is set to the Eastern time zone, and adjusts for Daylight Savings Time automatically).
  
  
• "Reply Citation Options" means that when you reply to an email, the quoted portion of the email you are responding to will have a blurb introducing it: you can select from several options. A standard choice would be "On DATE, AUTHOR said"-- that will replace the DATE and AUTHOR with the actual values from the email. See the Help menu for "User-Defined" options.
  
  
• Signature Options: In order to use the signature set above, click the "Yes" radio button for both "Use Signature" and "Prefix Signature with-- line". The latter is an Internet convention for signatures: two dashes by themselves, and then the signature on the next line(s).
  
  
• Click the "Submit" button to save these settings, and on the "Inbox" folder to the left of the page to go back to your Inbox. You may now send and receive emails; look through the Help pages to learn about the various screens and settings.
